The Recycling Association of North Carolina Scholarship Program
The Recycling Association of NC scholarships are offered to RANC member company employees and their dependents who wish to further their education .
Eligible candidates may be a new, part-time or returning school student, a trade or community college applicant or a student for a university/college.
RANC will select up to (2) $1,000 scholarships a year. Eligible candidates may apply for a one time max of $1,000 a year. Candidates will be selected by the RANC scholarship committee consisting of the executive board.
The RANC scholarships are ONLY open to RANC member company employees and their dependents. An applicant must apply for the scholarship by the deadline of August 1, 2025.
Announcements will be made at the RANC Annual Meeting, which will be held August 20-22, 2025.
Some items to include with your online application:
- Your connection with and contact information for a RANC member company employee is required
- As essay is required. Maximum 1,000 words. Introduce yourself and explain your personal experiences or other factors influencing your interest in furthering your education.
- A letter of recommendation is encouraged and strongly recommended from your employer, teacher, or other mentor if applicable.
- Please note: If selected as a scholarship recipient, the funds will be distributed directly to recipients school on their behalf. Recipient must provide a school contact representative for RANC to coordinate the scholarship payment with or instructions for payment. If no contact is available, scholarship recipient must provide RANC with a receipt of funds used.
